Swadlincote Windows upgrades gas filling capabilities with the Smartfill-1 from Inagas

Inagas, the market leaders in gas filling technology, is pleased to confirm that longstanding customer, Swadlincote Windows, has recently upgraded its gas filling machinery, with the purchase of a Smartfill-1. The East Midlands based company is one of the largest independent manufacturers and installers of premium windows, doors and conservatories in the area, with almost 30 years in business and are delighted with this latest piece of equipment form Inagas.
Kelvin Beddow, Glass Manager at Swadlincote Windows, explains: “We purchased an IGA 30 from Inagas back in 2003, and it has served us extremely well over that time. As the time came for us to replace it, we knew Inagas could offer a solution, and their machinery is built to last. The Smartfill-1 is similar to our old equipment in terms of production capability but has some useful new technology by comparison. The SmartStart Lance allows the operator to stop and start the gas filling process from the unit, as opposed to having to return to the machine. The flow rate is quicker, which means the units are gas filled at a faster rate, a benefit that has streamlined our gas filling process.

“We work across domestic and commercial projects and the demand for gas filling is increasing. We’ve won lots of new build work recently and have extended our facility, from two factories, to four, in order to keep ahead of that demand.
