Inagas is celebrating 30 years. The family run business has reported steady growth since inception and now has in excess of 750 active customers worldwide, ranging from the smallest to some of the biggest IGU manufacturers in the world.

Chris Kemp, Sales Director of Inagas explains: “My father Malcolm started the business back in 1992, as he could see that the changing industry was leading to a marked rise in the number of companies looking to gas fill. At that time, Inagas was selling imported machines from FDR Inc, based in Minnesota, USA. As the demand for gas filling grew, so did the need for more proficient technology. We partnered with a local gas sensor focussed company to produce our IGA range in 2002, the features of which included semi auto calibration and variable gas fill settings.

“Then in 2010, in time to help the industry achieve those all-important Window Energy Ratings, working alongside our production partners John Ellison Electronics Limited (je2), we progressed to the design and build of the Smartfill range. Machinery capable of filling one, two or four units at a rate of 30 litres of gas per minute. The range was launched utilising the latest technology at the time, to enhance user control and improve productivity, including the SmartStart filling lance, where the operative can control the gas filling from the lance, without having to return to the machine. Over the years, we have continued to update and develop the range to ensure it’s meeting the needs of the ever changing market.

“My brother Jonathan joined in 2014 as Office Manager and between us, we now manage the day to day running of the business and we are proud to say that our complete offering means gas filling is an inclusive option for businesses of all sizes.

“As well as offering a full range of gas fillers, we also offer gas testing products and are the official distributor for Sparklike in the UK and Ireland. I have used a Sparklike Handheld and its predecessor as part of my sales demonstration for the last 20 years, so aligning ourselves with them seemed a natural evolution and a great fit for our business. And the story doesn’t end here. We will continue to spend time listening to our customers and putting energy into ensuring we offer relevant and efficient machinery to meet our customers’ requirements. It’s what’s helped us get to where we are today and what will help us with our future growth.”
