PIB Primary Seal Tape
PIB primary seal tape can be used as an effective barrier against gas loss for both hot melt and two part edge sealants. Inagas offer this simple yet effective solution, which has been uniquely developed for spacer bar in insulated glass units, providing an affordable alternative to a costly machinery investment.
A butyl rubber, double sided self adhesive tape, reinforced with a cotton mesh for stability which can be applied by hand or with a tape applicator. Using the applicator, simply push 4 metre lengths of spacer bar through the machine to apply the tape to both sides of the spacer. The bar can then be cut to the desired size and filled with desiccant, which can then be made into a frame and the backing paper removed. The applicator is able to be used with any type of spacer bar.
