Double R double up with the Smartfill-2 from Inagas

Inagas has been working with Double R Glass and Roofing Systems Ltd in Wellingborough to increase their gas filling capability to help them stay ahead of increasing market demand.
Ian Sims, Managing Director at Double R explains:”We have been gas filling a small percentage of IGU’s for the last five years, but over the last 7 months we have seen a big increase due to the more stringent requirements for Window Energy Ratings. We now gas fill around 50% of our units. Although reliable, our previous machine wasn’t really capable of the increased demand so we decided to invest in the latest technology and allow for future growth. We now run a Smartfill-2 on both of our production lines. The unique design of the Smartstart lance gives the operator greater control as allows you to fill multiple units direct form the lance, without the need to return to the machine. We are also delighted with the touch screen controls and unique visual and audible signals, as they enhance control to improve productivity.
